deviantART Account Scrapurged

Journal Entry: Mon May 5, 2008, 3:13 AM
Howdy y'all. I spent some time purging my gallery of everything I didn't think was the best example of my work. I didn't delete them, per se, but I stuck them in my Scraps then deactivated access to my Scraps. This includes pretty much all of my old Political comics which I feel are no longer relevant (read: [link]) Everything that is currently accessible are deviations that I really like. I dunno if I'll ever release access to my Scraps.

This deviantART account will now have a more Moose River ([link]) focus, just so I can start tie it together with my current artistic projects. I'll probably start posting all my Moose River pages as well as cover art, guest comics I've done for other webcomics, and other more recent junk.

Enjoy!

I'm a fan of Moose River, and I'm really glad to find out you have a dA. Its cool to see some of your work outside of the comic. ^^

I'm not too keen on political subjects here, but your comics have hit some very interesting points, things that are quite universal, not just US based. Great job and keep up the good work!

This just came to me. Do you think that the librals are so anti-winning-the-war because we havr a Conservative president. And once we get. (Dare I say) One of their libral leaders in the office they will be all for winning the war?

When it happened I was in total support, mostly because I felt the US was rectifying a previous fuck up.... the "previous fuck up" being both not taking Saddam out after Gulf War 1 as well as putting Saddam in power to begin with back in the 80's. Lately though that support has wained, if only because no one seems to have a really good idea of how to clean things up there. And no, pulling out is NOT the answer. (Staying there isn't much of an answer either, but it's better than saying "fuck you guys, we're leaving!"... That'll REALLY help.)

I'm not sure what to say other than I'm honored! It's an awfully kind gesture and while I wouldn't put you or your family to task (It's unprofessional, and all) I just want you to know we appreciate folks like you back home. The folks we don't see on TV making fools of themselves for their own selfish ends... But we especially appreciate folks like you Nick, who are aware that the world is not a friendly place, and a bunch of happy, free spirits sharing the wealth will not win the day.

I'd love to talk to you at length, but I know you're a busy guy with all you must have going on, so I'll leave saying this - keep up the good work. I look at your art and it's message, and I think to myself - at least someone from my generation doesn't think we fought a war for oil so we could pay MORE for it. ;D

I found a comic on here the other day. Well apparently, if your opinion isn't the majority, the person whose opinion IS the majority will rub it in your face. And thats the problem with people these days... They prefer to listen to what they see other people say, then to find out the truth themselves... Bro, it's a sad world we live in...

Intellegent people who have well thought out views on a subject, regardless if I agree with them or not = people I have respect for.

Idiot people who blindfully follow the pack, regardless if they support my view or not = people I have little respect for.

Yeah.

That is the coolest thing anyone has ever said about that comic. I'm glad you guys love it!! :D (And yes, I do find it amusing that a major general liked the comic as well!)

I tell you what though, my Pops ([link]) read your comment and said that we'll make YOU an honorary member of our family; if there's anything you guys need, we'll give you as much of a hand as we can! :)

Yeah.

I cannot express via internet text how truly awesome I think you are!

I'm in the Army myself, and (I hope you don't mind) I printed out your "BUSH=HITLER" and posted it in our Brigade building. I hope in some small way it ammuses you to know a (two star) major general has remarked "I really don't think we could do that... but wouldn't it be nice?" when the soldier aimed his weapon at the protester. Not only that, but many, MANY of my fellow soldiers have expressed their love for the strip.

Excellent work, my friend - if I could, I'd make you an honorary member of the 101st! Morale has to count for something, no?

Yea, I supose you`re right. It`s probably nothing serious.

The icon is meant to be a paradox; I think it's rather impossible to be all three at the same time. That's the joke. :)
